Libra

My path has, in large part, let me to this concept. It intertwines my deep love and appreciation for the Yucatan from seven years spent cooking at Hartwood in Tulum, Mexico, the research-driven desire to understand and respect the origins of food and the ancient cultures behind them that I take from my three years at March in Houston, TX, the awe-inspiring beauty, love, and admiration I have for my new home in Guatemala, and a lifetime of influence from my family, the food that we've shared together, and my Texan roots. The meaning behind the name Libra and its Latin origin is scales, or balance. Balance is a driving force in life in many aspects; balance in food and flavors, work-life balance, balance in nourishment and indulgence. It is my goal to provide a space that brings a little joy and balance in one's day through the shared appreciation and enjoyment of good food and hospitality. Hope to see you at our table soon!
